Indeed it is a masterpiece waiting to be discovered. It evokes so many images of our own original national lazy bone. Surprised? Yes we Pilipinos have a national character depicting laziness. His name is "Juan Tamad." Juan is our equivalent of your John and Tamad is lazy in our language. He was very famous when we were young. Parents would always make Juan Tamad an example to their kids whenever they play hookey or do nothing useful in the house. But his fame and character eventually died down and I seldom hear him being mentioned anywhere I go now. Must be the internet that has led to his fall to oblivion.
