A Winter's Write. Original Poetry Inspired By An Early Snow - Enjoy with Troy!

I bring to you a poem, inspired by an early unwelcomed snow and cold weather. I was not prepared and still am not. Bring back the warmth of Autumn please. Oh well. At least it woke up my pen to scribble. Enjoy!

A Winter's Write

Here I sit and ponder still upon my laptop screen.
The frosted wit of Autumn chilled a weary weathered scene.
It beckons me an early feat, in splattered flakes of snow
Still reckons we, must I greet? In spattered aches I go.

The dreary dawn, the dirty streets, In garments bundled tight
The warmth is gone, a footstep beats, upon the winter's white.
Oh for the sun to come and play, and melt the frigid chill
Too soon begun, did fall betray? In silence now so still.

But tarry not upon the streets, or frolic on the day
For weary, ought my slumber meet...Yet rollick here to say
If I could pen a verse or two, inscribe poetic, write
A cherry grin, no worse for you, my laptops closed...Goodnight!
