Truth

in poetry •  7 years ago

Oh to think you foolish one
That I am only what you have done
Your words and will to make me break
Feed the strength of my souls intake
I did pretend to be your pawn
To embrace the day that I am gone
I then shall walk with my head so high
Shedding weakness in which you relied
I am so much more then you can see
With or without what you have done to me
I have found where I belong
I have never been so strong
For I am able to fully be free
Not bound by you I am me
