Words of Love

At first when you spoke
In plain and simple proverbs
Loudable, eloquent so heard
It was water to a thirsty soul
Your pleasant words stood above
The world that crumbled beneath fear

Then you stepped into riddles
Singing in my ears
Weavering endlessly
Your tireless gaze held my heart
Like in a container of beauty

You reaveled it then
Though simple and plain
My heart closed to the pain
Of hope and lost
Never wanted to counter
The poundering words of LOVE
