What books would you recommend to learn about poetry writing?

You should start for the very begin: the roman Poetry. I recommend to read "The Philosophy of Poetry: The Genius of Lucretius" from Henry Bergson. And also take a look on the roman classic books: Virgil, Horatius, Lucretius. If you are a english speaker you should read Shakespeare.
