Ripplers - Day 78

Some like to test the waters.
Just dip their big toe
And watch the ripples
Unfold across the surface
Slowly dissipating
Back into the calm.
And then just walk away

Some want to keep their distance.
Throwing stones
That skip across the surface.
Making multiple hits,
Each with its own set of ripples,
Before losing steam
And sinking to the bottom.

Some take their time.
Slowly wading and waiting,
Hoping to adjust,
As multiple ripples
Made by others
Dissipate their own
And send them back.

Some make a big splash.
Reckless abandon,
Irregardless
Of the impact
Of large droplets
And giant ripples
Amongst the chaos.

Some quietly dive into the deep
With almost zero impact
Giving room for all the other ripples
Inviting the cautious
Catching the stones
Enticing the dawdlers
And saving the reckless.
