Rend

in poetry •  8 years ago

Drift true, my innocent thought.
steer from what you know,
and where you've been,
a rend of who and what.
But oh, what have you caught.

And when the sun sets thin
Pushing dusk and dust
through the air.
It falls on me
A sure pool of amber,
it's yet another,
I'm drowning in.

And dreaming I wish,
with what's fallen in my chest
to see that I'm worth
fighting for that thought.
