The Prison :original poetry by happyclappy

Sometimes the world seems like a dark impenetrable fortress
On top a rocky crag overlooking a toutured forest.
Deep in its chambers is where I sit and contemplate
Locked in this isolated cold damp cell
Locked behind iron bars and gate
The words I hear crash down like waves
Breaking me down like a cliff melting into the sea
Tormented by the storm of all my fears surrounding me
As quickly as the storm has come it passes
And the light I finally see
My prison cell springs open
And I see you standing before
Me

Wow. Powerful poem.
I like this part the most

The words I hear crash down like waves
Breaking me down like a cliff melting into the sea

Thankyou
