POEM: You don't know me

in poetry •  7 years ago

You don't know me
I find my calm on turbulent waters
I feel refreshed in blistering winds
My peace at war is ineffable

You don't know me
I feel relieved in pain
My loss is where I gain
My Sun scorches when it rains

You don't know me
I love what I should hate
My dish delight is a bait
My doubt is where I find faith

You think you know me?
Then you should look again
I'm the face of the outcast
I'm the voice of the weird

Don't you know me yet?
I'm the wise you call a fool
I'm the strong you mock as weak
I'm a believer of the crucified!

I love the image that comes along with it! Manages to capture succinctly what's being expressed.
