Have you ever been to Africa?
More precisely her jewel Nigeria
Where mothers are on their heels 24/7
Worked all through the day, to get paid
Some are paid daily, while some 12 in 365
More are paid on see you next time basis
The worst of it all, much more are deprived of pay
Very few had the empire of their dream
The few neglected the more when in power
That's what tore my flesh, and ran with it.

In this modern era?
Mothers are confined to duties
Some fathers rather have a drink
With friends than with them
"Women robbed their pot bellies"
Despite the glaring truth!
At home, love constrained them to rules
Mothers had their way
When the court gave them hearing
Must that be the case?

Welcome to Nigeria
More precisely her pride, Ekaite!
She yelled for freedom!
Ears listened but mouths lisped
Dressed in black, we matched!
Freedom to the underworld.
