Snow today

White beneath lowering grey
Silent flurries, only for a while
Neither deep, nor long
Soon to melt beneath foot fall

A suburban oval, usually empty,
is now studded with colour of small
children. Above each, overhanging
a small body, a large adult. Clumsy?
Cautious? This is unusual
