Missing You Dad (Poetry)

This same moments seven years ago when my beloved father was taken to the hospital after he bled. The doctor recommended surgery after a pancreatic mass was detected after some laboratory, which included CT Scan. Few months after, he undergone surgery. Few days after surgery, my father passed away.

Here's a poem I wrote for my father, who may not read it, but it is to express how I feel:

We might have been that close when I was a kid,
But you know I love you, and you are what we need,
Sorry for all the crazy, silly things your children did,
You left us too early, with farewell that you bid.

We often get scared of you, for being too strict,
Run away and hide when you're holding the stick,
Don't get mad at me dad, because it will make me sick,
I promise that I won't be bad, I promise I'll be meek.

I'm really sorry dad for treating you like an enemy,
You only cared for me, since I'm still your kiddie,
No matter there is problem, you always seek for remedy,
You only want the best and that's not animosity.

In spite of everything that happened, in my heart I believe,
For every mistakes that I've done, you always forgive,
The wrong things that I do, I know I'm not naive,
You understood them, now I am in grief.

It's hurt to see someone you love telling you 'goodbye',
Especially, when rude people keep telling a lie,
I saw you there lying in bed, you are about to die.
After moments of attempts of reviving, and I began to cry.

Now that you're gone, and I miss you so bad,
Remembering the pain makes me feel so sad,
I just wanna be happy that I will ever had,
What I got to do now is pray to God.
