Poem / I've Learned

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

I’ve learned, through my life, that it’s the journey which matters most.

I’ve learned through my walks and my runs, that it’s how we reflect on our lives which is the apex of importance when it comes to understanding what we are meant to do.

I’ve learned, through scars and burns, that it’s not where we are going that matters, but rather what we’ll do along the way.
Who we’ll meet.
What we’ll say.

It’s the path we chose, not the destination. Because I’ve learned not to worry about the little things.

I’ve learned to take whatever life throws at me, even if it’s lemons.
