The Shadow

When I was at my early teenage
I wish I was older.
It'll be a lot easier to approach my crush
who is two years older.

I'm now in my late 20's
and oh boy how I wish I was younger.
Things were easy,
days were better.

But the reality is like a shadow,
in everywhere you go he follows.
You can only face it
when the light is behind you.

He does not age
nor he won't get any younger.
And the fact that someday he'll be gone,
is such a grave reminder.

Did he just walk?
or did he dance?
Is he a great follower?
Or just a mere resemblance?

The pendulum swings swifter,
and those questions need immediate answer.
Worrying may only accelerates time,
But my dreams, my will and my power are my lucky charms.
