THE CITY CALLED LAGOS

A land congested with people from different states.
The air is polluted and choking.
The streets are jam-packed like a tin of sardine.
Everyone is in a hurry round the clock.
You meet the craziest kind of people here.

"This is Lagos" reads the welcoming signboard.
Shine your eyes or you get out smarted.
Residents suffer and smile, it has become a life style.
Agberos rule the street.
The struggle for survival is thick, every way is a way.
Wealth or death is the hidden chorus of the day.

A haven for all sort of people.
Diverse culture and breed,it's no man's land.
Traffic here can be compared to hell.
No one leaves Lagos without a tale to tell.

Nevertheless, Lagos is a beautiful place to be in.
Centre of attraction and heartbeat of Nigeria.

            I was born and raised in Lagos, but I have to admit that I have no affection for that city. The population and traffic is a big turn-off.

                    Lagos is indeed a beautiful place to be in...
                    Just like you said, Lagos is a place where only the strong survive and even if you're not, you'll most definitely learn how to survive here....

                    I used to think I wouldn't be able to survive in Lagos but, here I am, still struggling though, but surviving....
