Hands outstretched to the side,
Carefully placing one foot in front of the other,
With the eyes of the crowd upon me,
Scrutinizing my every move,
Anticipating every mistake possible,
I try not to look too far above or below,
But instead work to keep,
My mind and eyes squarely,
On each step along the way,
As I move gently and with determination,
Across the long high wire.
