"Be Grateful for today," "What we believe" and "Find it Within"

Painting by Dora Stanculescu, I do not know the title. “Two ships
Passing in the night” seems apropos. How peaceful and serene
Is this scene. I wish this feeling would spread to all the world.
Simpler times, fewer needs, those needs met, maybe even
Surpassed. Why do we feel the need to rush about so? We
Run headlong into tomorrow without planning, without
Appreciating what we have today. One of my very top
Favorite quotes: “The rich man is not he who has the
Most, but he who NEEDS THE LEAST”. If that be true,
And I believe it is, then I am indeed a rich man, and
Grateful for it too. There are a few things I would
Like to have, but I’m not stressing over it today.
I would like to feel more secure financially for
Tomorrow, but then, who IS secure this way?
Tomorrow is tomorrow, let come what may.
The world will turn as it will, and not as I
Would have it. Be grateful for today.

It is so very easy to lose your way. It is only when you realize
That you are already there, that you can be at peace. That
Means at peace with yourself, with the world and those
Around you. Of course there is always room for you to
Improve yourself, and you start by loving yourself.
Once you do that, you can love those all around
You more fully, in a more REAL, substantial,
Caring way. To BE there for one another
Is what is most important, and for that
You must BE there for yourself first.
There is no need to go searching
For this peace outside yourself.
Find it within, then share it.
