Immanence and Transcendence

I wrote you many poems
Since one was never enough…

Maybe I was trying to photograph stars
And contain them
In one shot

Like the time
You showed me the sea
And we stood together on the shore

And a wave of vertigo
Took me
As my heart began to soar

You showed me places
I’d never go
And caught me in your undertow

We’ve flown over Rockies
Hung high
Over frozen lakes

Watched sunsets
On the Gulf coast
Toasted the dying day

But I want to go back to the sea
And the lonely white waves

And let the wind take me
As it stole my heart on that day

Very nice poetry, thank you!

thank you!

In the moment of my need
Of my heart they took heed
As it flickered in the raging storm
A starlight that was there and then gone

Alas my words did carry them a message
But it was lost in time and its passage
To be so close to deliverance
Yet betrayed by my own perseverance

Thank you

This was a pretty poem. I'm curious as to why the waves were white?
