Parable

E fields in moleskine folio.jpg

The white field
Silent and
Peaceful

Crossed
By hare tracks
In the snow

Waits for me
In stuttering
Clarity

Spins yarns
Of wet snow flurries

Startled rooks
Rise suddenly
Then quickly
Subside—

The dumb show
A parable
Of our brief human lives.
