When you're not around... (original poetry)

The many words spoken without the sound,
The persistent rain and the illness of the clouds,
The sun too afraid to come out and shine,
This is the remanence of what you leave behind.

The howling wind as it KO's the trees,
Battered and bullied as they're brought to their knees,
Birds fly aimlessly around in the sky with nowhere to go,
The misplacement of your heart sees me find hatred in the snow.

The wondering of your soul causes a mass flood,
Not only through tears but the untold wounds still seeping with blood,
It doesn't take much for the river to break,
The Gods so angry they make the Earth shake.

Well here I am looking at the stars,
Thinking that you could be the one twinkling and shooting past Mars,
Back into our galaxy and back into my life,
Only to leave me again and restart this cycle of strife.

Thank you for reading, hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Jonathan. :)
