Atop the swell they drift,
Splashing, and laughing of memories past.
Endurance knows no exhaustion.
As time drifts forever,
The monsters play below.
Plunging to unfathomable depths,
The water’s like air in their lungs.
They race to the cavernous cliff-face.
Great clock of our existence,
Tranquilly frozen in wonder.
Harmonious sensation;
The seabed humming under-fin.
Aquatic creatures glide.
Moonlight never to befall,
Upon this body of time.
