See them!
See their emanciated cheeks.!
A result of shrimps cooked in diamonds!
See their manifestoes shivering underneath the dust.!
see their over starched shirts standing elegantly in the sun.
like the pyramid of Gaza

They are the builders of the nation.
but leeches that sucks it's bone marrow.
destroying the promises of tomorrow
like water to a mould of salt.
they reek of unfufilled promises.
Threading on red carpets like praying mantises

See them!
dripping in immortality
bought with the blood of the valiant
They are barons at night, but leaders at day.
your life is like a time bomb wait to explode
they're the string at the end of a puppet
playing lethal tunes for innocent ears

They smile,all lies,full of guile..
Why take one diamond, when they can have countless?
Why disorganise when they can annahilate?
They are grenades in oat meals
gall wrapped in chocolate boxes
a banality psyched in brutality
enslaving us with their freedom

See them!
Kleptomaniac crustaceans,
crawling on uncountable currencies
they're wisdom, uncouth, a foolishness
bought with sheer stupidity!

POETIC NOTES & ANALYSIS

This is a poem that speaks about corruption in high places, In governmental or secret organisations that tends to run the world In a nutshell, the people seems to castigate the idea of democracy in developing countries, the glutton and love of money by leaders who tend to hold onto power and the broken promises of leaders to their electorate as well.
The poet's mood is very pensive and making use of tools like sarcasm and paradox, he relays his fraustation in a more euphemist way , using metaphors and personification to relate situation and comparism of how terrible democracy has turned out in a developing country he knows.
The deception of these leaders were well explained expecially In the 3rd & 4th stanza, explaining their failed promises and failure at a transparent government without corruption.

See them! See them! (lol)
I love this poem! I tried my best to sieve as much lesson as I can from every stanza. Honestly, this is a sharp diatribe to dubious politicians.

Very nice allocation of consonants :-) Cheers!

Thank you so much, cheers!

Excellent post!
