BLACK IS A REFLECTION. (A Poem)

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

We are the brightness that blinks at night. With skins as velvet as an eagle's feather. And loamy as the loaminess of the manure rich soil

Black is a reflection of Pan-africanism.
Of our brothers who fought colonialism. against the evil of communism.
Black is a reflection of pride.
Where beauty lies in the dark rich smiles of the ebony queen.
That displays a sensual body like that of a chicken's egg

Black is a photo.
A motto of strength and strength.
Against apartheid and segregation.. Black is the fight against racism of the skin.

and racism of inequality.
It is a history of strong men.
Who died to protect the land

Black is a reflection.
Of ability.
It is the triumph of strength over weakness.
Black is a reflection of good rather than evil.
It is a radiant colour that tiptoes the earth. Every far and near

Black is a reflection.
That looks beautiful in smoking mirrors. Black is a reflection.
Of survival.
A trend of growth.
Stronger and stronger

Black is a reflection.
Of me and you.
Black is a reflection of good not evil
