Song for my self

Life is a transaction
some call it a seduction
a constant give and take
to keep up your attraction

Your gravity is all you have,
your planetary pull
the game of life means follow rules
to keep your pockets full

Diplomacy and politics
are some of your own bag of tricks
you have to cycle back and through
the long-term reinvented you

A Casanova wins the day
the night as well to have his way
to charm the birds out of the trees
you have to get down on your knees

My poems are my unique bird call
attracting none or one or all
though even if no one responds
I whistle on not needing bonds

For I am free to whistle on
regardless of who hears my song
seducing no one but my self
it's not for coin or listeners' wealth

It used to be dependency
upon attention all for me
or money that we all desire
but now I write as I’m on fire

The rhyme is mine my wit is yours
my innuendo never bores
it needs no reader, listener none
I springs up purely just for fun

For freedom is the biggest prize
my speech is free without disguise
diplomacy I need no more
Seduction, no not trying to score

I simply write because I can
I sing my hymn the song of man
as pure expression of my life
the artists way is free from strife
