A Winter's Write. Original Poetry Inspired By An Early Snow - Enjoy with Troy!

I particularly love the second verse (is it called a verse?) as I also hate the cold of the winter and long for the sun! I wrote a song in a similar vein which you may enjoy.

Lyrics below.

The winter gets me down, I hate the cold
Gets under my skin, makes me feel so old
And I can`t wait to see you again
Summer sun my elusive friend

In the autumn when the leaves come down
The birds have flown, there is no sound
You bid farewell and leave me alone
My hear feels just like a stone

ooooh summer sun

I know that you cant be rushed But its been too long and I need your touch
I wanna feel your warm embrace
Need your heat on my face

ooooh summer sun

The winter gets me down, I hate the cold
Gets under my skin, makes me feel so old
And I can`t wait to see you again
Summer sun my elusive friend

ooooh summer sun

The winter gets me down, I hate the cold
