I recently saw a documentary in which, the main topic of discussion was Fermi paradox, I hope you know about it. They were assuming many things, why other highly developed and evolved species are not yet discovered. And, the one of the many theoretical answers was that they might have a better virtual reality technology that they do not want to explore the real one. It was really very disturbing.

I think they (aliens) know about DMT and other mind altering substances.
