Darkness

There's a darkness that follows me
and sometimes,
stands beside me.
I always challenge it
and on most days,
demolish it!
The loneliness is loud at times,
but its better than being around mimes.
The voices are all around,
but never am I bound.
The yearning for affection
but when presented,
all there is, is deflection
I don't know where to turn some days,
and on others,
I'm happy to hear what they have to say.
small tasks.
take it day by day.
mini accomplishments.
I'm pleased with my day!
Like a baby tires from learning to walk,
I tire from just listening to them talk
Its ok though,
Its a battle I am always ready to get through.
