Witnesses

We've seen,
we've heard,
We've felt,
We've smelt,

We're all witnesses:
To the devastation of our lands,
To the deafening plants and tools,
To the brutal lacerations on our lands,
To the poison that befriends our air,
We're all witnesses.

We'll keep watching:
For a heaven consolation,
For a music of salvation,
For the caress of fortune,
For the breath of good air,
We'll keep watching and waiting.
