Esclavituid

Our limbs endowed with snackles,
in my time
A free life in a dark skin was a tad
a great crime
Even dogs would lead us,
But most times a white man on a war
horse.

Our kings were given the booze,
And from the white man it was ruse
And from it our sons took
And our daughters they used.

On their tables were the vegetables,
with our bloodstain
Melons,cucumber and sugar canes,
Yet all we had to eat were grains
Mixed with unspoken complains
And we all swallowed? Our pains
and disdain.

My brothers were killed,
For opening their mouths to feed
Not just the fruit of the trees,
But even the grasses of the fields.

In our dens we sang songs,
Together even with some with no
tongues
Choristers of tears,
Accompanied by the chords of our fears.

A resting place no one gave
But a large hole they dug for our grave
And what is death if not to crave
For as long as our hairs they have
Shaved, we are doomed to be slaves.
