The Promise

Excuse me if you see me screaming
Deep in my mind I'm only dreaming

Why is it that when I wake you're not by my side
When you're gone a piece of me feels like its died

I put on a happy face and a content fake smile
My heart shattering from waiting a while

It's okay my love I told you whatever it takes
I'll put this heart back together every time it breaks

Waiting to see you to complete my life
I'll always be aside you as your partner and wife

Keep your head held high and don't ever frown
When the world sees doubt they'll try to drag us down

Let them have their fun for if only they knew
I'll wait a thousand lifetimes to say I love you

You came and protected me with no single plan
Just a simple promise of forever being my man

And I will return your promise with one simple kiss
With no more waiting just our eternal bliss

Wishing all of you a life filled with love near or far
