The Rarest Treasure

The rarest treasure I ever owned once lived inside my breaking heart.
A treasure that was flawless, impeccable, exquisite.
It had been stolen.
A heartless thief, cunning, clever, manipulating.
He took it and cruelly sold it for a lie.
Dishonesty and betrayal now obscured the brilliance of my jewel.
I kept trying to find it, but unrelenting darkness hid it away.

I grieved and bled, whilst you spun a web of intricate deceitfulness
I longed for mercy from the ravages of your Holy cloth.
I had been forsaken, stripped naked and laid bare upon the alter for your sacrificial ritual.
You offered me poison, but I did not need to drink, as I was already intoxicated from the wrath of your sins.

Wistful shades of amber clothed my mind, a recollection of late autumnal hues when you stole my innocence.
Pages upon pages of my poetic muse were destroyed.
The treasure I cherished had been tarnished for all to see, and now I was the one in question.

I cannot imagine how cold your grave shall one day be, as your soul now whilst alive is already frozen?
You remain obdurate, obstinate and arrogant in your sins.
Yet the Eye of Divine Providence observes you, night and day.
Hearken, your trespasses shall one day be bought forth.

Until then I will search for the remnants of my lost treasure.
I take my time in sieving through the fragments of gold.
I shall keep seeking justice.
I will advance, and I will conquer.
You shall not.
