A True Apostle

A true Apostle of Jesus Christ
Will be humble, loving and true
He will live a meager life, not driven by the world
He'll do all that God asks him to do

He will give all his time to do God's work
He will endure, whatever the price
Persecution and trials will always be there
When you're an Apostle of Jesus Christ

He won't be a man that is successful in the world
He won't be famous or a millionaire
He will be a peculiar man that doesn't fit in
He might have a beard or really long hair

He doesn't belong to any of the churches today
He won't sit in big fine chairs for everyone to see
He won't have tailored suits with gold cufflinks on his wrists
And he certainly doesn't receive a salary

He will always carry God's sword in his hand
The Bible will always be at his side
He will teach you the truth about the things you must do
