"The Lone Tree"

dh04012.jpg

I am the old mango tree in the wood,

My story today to teach you some good.

Long long ago, I was flourished green nature,

I met a little boy alone, worrying about the future.

He came to my shade all sad day,

He shared everything he had to say.

We become friends, he had only me,

He smiled, he grew, ate my sweet fruits happily.

He talked me for hours about his dream,

Simple happy life with the family by the stream.

His every little wish my prayer became,

For his dull life must get back that lost flame.

One day he came and tied a friendship band,

"Keep this" he said, this is like a magical wand.

When we are not near, we'll still see each other,

And being close this way will make life smoother.

And to chase his goal he went far away land,

I could still feel and see him where sea meets the sand.

He could think of me often when he was alone,

I always thought of him as my life was alone.

He had promised to return after he meet his wife,

But he did not come, and started a new life.

I continued to pray and be his friend,

Loyalty and keeping promise is my trend.

Oh! he bought a home even got a baby,

And how content I am to see happy,

After years of separation, he is not here yet,

He does not remember me, he's life's all set.

Sure one day he would come and meet me,

For I am growing feebie, I can't much see.

I have become really old, I have become weak,

To see him, hug him again is all seek.

With cut branches and half dead here a lie,

Meeting him my only wish before life says Goodbye.

Do you know who is the most unfaithful creature?
Yes, a human being.
The following short story depicts a human nature,we remember every other person when we are in need, when days change and turn better, we forget those who were standing strong with us, we forget them in good days.

An attempt to unfold a story in a poetic way.

Something we learn to all of us?

Chua! hahaha. Yeppeun. Nice post @leslyfay! It is indeed true that human beings can sometimes be unfaithful. Forgetting those promises that they once spoke of, and making another promise only to break them. People shouldn't make promises that they can't keep, don't you agree? Regardless, I love this post. ^^ Great one.

yes @littlerph, i agree with that...
