Welcome To Lagos

I was welcomed by long traffic on crowded roads
Rusty yellow buses bullied their way through, breaking every traffic law known to man
The air was stale and smelled like sweat and oily things
Gala and Pepsi sellers eagerly chased moving buses for their change
The skyline was crowded with buildings made to fit every available space
Cars of all kinds blasted their horns for any and every reason
There were people moving everywhere in a hurry like they were all late for something
Officers in uniforms collected customary bribes from bus drivers
Bus conductors aggressively yelled calls for passengers to board with change
Big bright billboards with pictures of beautiful women adorn the roadsides
Everyone was angry under the scorching September sun
I was insulted four times by strangers for things I do not know
I had prepared my mind for these things, for I was finally in Lagos.

This sounds like a pretty busy city, someday I might visit it and also excellent poetry dude!

You should, and thank you.

Wow, that sounds like quite a greeting from a new city! Some of that could even come straight out of Panama City...horns and street vendors! Thanks for the mental image. Great job fellow @unmentionable!! :)

Many big cities have that in common. Thank you for stopping by.
