a book of lies

in poetry •  7 years ago

a book of lies

if in morse code i confessed,
would my mind finally rest?
would it take more than a flight
to not drown in tears at night?

if the rain decided to
stop its pouring, would you too
feel a lot more comfort out
in the sun, thinking about
how the seasons tend to change
but remain forever strange?

it took years to learn to swim.
now i hum the silent hymn
of the past that ceased to be.
what's the morse code for 'i'm free'?

on my brain there is a mark.
people tend to miss its dark
side, perhaps because i try
hiding everything in my
incoherent mind of gold.
one day when i grow up old,
i will hold a book of lies,
then walk proud to my demise.

I find it mysteriously catchy, the first few lines . It opens up channels of thoughts. Yet the words are simple and form is not complicated.

There is no lie to that. This piece is orating insight.

I try to simplify, yet not too much, my thought process, to express what I see and how I see it. I love the idea of observing and noting down what I saw, in the form of poetry of course. Thank you so much!

I like this.

Thank you so much! This means a lot.

Amazing words, words of your poetry reflects the phases of life. Thanks for sharing.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

Thank you so much! This means a lot!

Welcome.

Peace is achieved with lies, the truth does not have the strength in crazy heads to write a book of sacred rules.

Truth is very powerful, and lies can sometime act as a substitute when we are feeling overwhelmed with the might of truth.

I really like this one, I can relate to this phase of a feeling.
