a charade of ill intentions

a charade of ill intentions

i’ve renounced this sick system before i was even born,
for i’ve seen so many people wounded and so many torn.
it takes time to reach detachment, but it’s something you can do,
unless you wish to give up your freedom to the few
that control this whole game; a charade of ill intentions.
the crowd follows trends as soon as some fool mentions
something futile and irrelevant on the screen in your hand.
how can we be so easily controlled? i just don’t understand.
