A Leaking Heart
i like to think i know it all,
but once i rise, i always fall.
bruised my feet and broke my toes;
hiding pain so no one knows.
keeping secrets is a flaw;
i confessed when i first saw
such astounding beauty seeking
that which my heart was then leaking.
filled it up with love and care;
loving hearts is what we wear,
but in case you feel the need,
don't come running with your greed.
