angel, don't

angel, don't

i saw the angel sleeping underneath the willow tree at night.
its wings were transcendental. i fought the urge to touch the moonlight,
and underneath a blanket of the sleeping sky i slept,
where this angel told me secrets which to this day i have kept.

in her holy hands i fell into a sudden trance,
where she gave me one more chance at the art of holding hands.
she was so unique that my heart often left me weak,
and as long as it doesn't leak, i will sometimes feel unique.

angel, don't
come to me,
expect to be
in company.
