empty arguments

empty arguments

you’re never gone, always present
for me to overthink about and cry late at night.
no one believes in a liar,
unless he’s about to jump into his own blue flame.
why do we argue bout nothing?
are these the people whom we have become over time?
nothing surprises me lately.
i’ve seen it all in a dream that i have every night.

you’re never here, always absent,
and so i sink into nothingness here in my bed.
heroin’s deemed so addictive.
well i guess they never have tasted the drug that is you.
call me appropriate nicknames,
but don’t get offended if i call you back and hang up.
bleed me a poem before dying,
for me to hold on to something right after you die.
