sky less blue

sky less blue

you love my smile and let me know
that it is something i should show,
but how could i frown when i see
such perfect grown up beauty?

what if we kissed? wait., have i missed
something coherent as i pissed
in the wind for way too long?
you're as powerful as a song.

we drank and talked over some beer,
and back then those were things i feared,
but now i'd love to go back to
that winter's night with the sky less blue.

this is something i've never felt,
and thus this boy has never delt
with such warming hands of life.
you are my thirty-year-old wife.
