over night it
creeps up
on us slowly
that feeling of
emptiness
a sense of despair
of its presence
as the
numbness sets in
losing touch
with ourselves
drifting further away
the motions
each and everyday
longing
for a time
when things
weren't this way
is just
not enough
being controlled
by emotions
that have now
gone astray
you had
meaning you seek
seems pointless
in a world
so
out of whack
a connection
praying for peace
reflecting on the past
stuck
in your mind
running in place
outside
of your being
grounded to nothing
unaware
how it happened
you just feel.., disconnected.

Perfect description...worst is that often we don't see it coming, then you're down in that dark hole and have no idea how to get out again...and you literally get disconnected from everything and everyone around you...and nothing makes sense.... I hate the dark place...
