MASTER OF ILLUSION…

Master of illusion
caught up in a delusion
spinning in his web
rousing such confusion

looking in from beyond
he sees what you think
without knowing why
teases your desires
and walks in the darkness
you're afraid to embrace

the promise of deception
that drips from his tongue
shifting the realities
that live within the mind

flirting with the psyche
what lies behind the brain
subtly disguising --
what you know to be true
deceiving the light

commanding your honesty
while caressing the soul
enchanting the innocent
with the lure of his words

lifting the veil
to all that there is
or nothing at all
believing in something
as if written in the stars

bonding with the universe
to look death in the eye
revealing the mysteries
that live within your thoughts...
