THAT GIRL…

That girl that you saw..,
dress fell just right.
She stuck in your head,
that angle what light.

She moved like a poet,
as she stepped to the air.
What was it about her,
her smile her hair…

The next time you'd see her,
you'd make her your wife.
Although it took some time..,
she was so worth the fight.

You went on to get married,
have a good life.
From the moment she met you,
she knew it was right.

And she stayed by your side,
no matter the strife.
Lied in your bed..,
and was a good wife.

The scars that you bore,
were part of a pair --
From those times in life,
you knew she'd be there.

She held you so tight,
when you shook in despair.
And touched you so gently,
to show that she cared.

Laughed at your jokes,
and cried at your feet.
But her presence alone
could light up your heart.

This love was for the ages,
as it just grew and grew…
That once in a lifetime,
you just knew it was true.

The moment that you saw her,
the space and time…
Was a gift from the heavens,
her grace and fine lines.

Who would have thought,
after all these years…That angle
what light -- that girl on the bike

…would still be your wife!
