Dementia flew up from a cut

“That cut is bleeding everywhere, you could die.” says the old spider in the corner.

“I have already,” as the water rushes over the wound, spinning pinwheel patterns race for the drain.

“Is that all you have left?” She shifts to get a better view.

“The cost is high, I know. Time is a bloodbath, see?” looking into the heart of the cut.

She drops down on a thread of silk, “The smell of death flowing from life seduces even the strongest.”

“Would you like a taste, spider?”

“I’ve been feeding on you for ages…
Recall my bite upon your decay?”
Swinging from side to side, she spirals round and down.

“I see you now, approaching the ruby river. The past is gone from me like that blood down the drain. Spider, spin me a tale; how did I live as you have seen from the corners above me?”

“As you are now, bloody and bleeding!” Spinning pinwheel of silver circling down the round.

A spiders dance, dementia dissected ... nothing less than truth

<3

I loved all of the subtle references included here. I like how you used the dialog to carry the theme of dementia. This is a little different than other stuff of yours that I've read. I like it.

Thank you, Moe. I really like playing with dialog. This is different from my usual voice, I have only played with this style a few times and it's always been inspired by something extreme.

Yeah, this is phenomenal. I like this voice, and it's spin on weaving a feeling. <3

I was in such a space of change when this happened and that cut was truly a blood letting and unseen to me at the time, a warning, a bad omen!

Life speaks to us in such strange ways. <3

It does indeed! Sometimes we don't realize it though until afterwards, or at least I don't... <3

I agree... This cut gave me some immediate and very dark thoughts though. lol

This is one I will have to digest!

hehe... I had cut my finger to the bone and this all kind of came out of me as I was washing it and trying to decide if I should go to the hospital.

Go ASAP!

This happened a while ago, all is fine as I am good with healing.... If it had been a longer cut I may have gone to get stitches. I had never seen my bone, all shiny and opalish... made me feel sick though and it bled for days.

😧 hope your finger is fixed now?

It all worked out -- I used bee propolis after the epson salts and colloidal silver. First time I've seen my bone before, that is not for the weak. lol

@mamadini I like your submit. I have followed you.

Thank you kindly -- I went ahead and followed you in return. I usually do not do that if I can not see content but lately I have been enjoying saying "why not". :)
