Somewhere along the line,
the same line everyone is in
I fell behind.
I fell to the ground
and became dirt
from the grinding steps
of billions of feet.
And my tears
and my bodily fluids
created a strange clay
and I rose molded.
A grotesque golem robed in crimson
and a flame black as the blackest night
to harden the clay from within
to rise as a volcano
and belch forth all the molten words
that have been pushed down and ground up.
I became difficult so that I would be heard!

I suppose like a plant needs the sun, humans need a certain amount of attention, especially when growing up to feel validated and to flourish. It makes sense that when feeling a lack, a child might turn to other attention grabbing actions.
