People speak to one another
yet they do not speak
They are afraid, that a hawk may come down

that they knew before
They are afraid of their words to be taken away

in broad daylight
their disappearance in the darkness of the night
They are silent
to keep their words safe
From these silences
the words are no longer dying,
but their meanings only
