I recently did this poetic performance in the city, working under the alias of "The Alchemist". I set up a table with some old books, an old hour-glass and a tiny Socrates bust. People were encouraged to sit with me, and I would start a conversation with them, always ending it by inquiring, "do you have a dream?"
Almost everyone has a dream. It is important to be faithful to yourself and keep your courage amidst the comings and goings that life has to offer. So I delivered a poem to those who sat with me:
Be brave,
For this life will lead
To an endless life ahead
The meaning, loveful, awaits
Becoming clear and pure.
Someday, the stars will fall
Like golden wine, all around us
And we shall drink their nectar
Shining like living stars.
