Unfading.

We were
lost souls, empty bodies
complete strangers, water fall
we were verses never read, never written
nights without sleep, days without waking
we were words without pronouncing
of those who drown in a scream
and they get lost in the deep sea.
invisibles

We are
hope that is born, windows that open
unopened letters waiting in the mailbox
we are an open book for the first time
a small leaf in the wind wandering down an alley
dreams that we do not remember, nightmares that marked us
we are kisses that never came to be
bullets with the wrong destination.
irreverents

We will be
the starry sky on an off July night
an unfinished poem
voices heard, ancient whispers
we will be space travelers
tourists from new universes
governors of a nameless city
inextinguishable fire.

I think you want to edit the first line from "We went" to "We were." I really loved this - it's full of emotional warmth and the vivid energy is transfixing. I felt that the first stanza was extremely strong. It's a real pleasure to read and reread.
