Tug Of War

It seems to come and go
In waves that ebb and flow
I either have it or I don't
Am I spinning up or down?

The subtlest orientation
Paradoxical interconnection
I never could understand
These dynamics within

Somewhere in between
Duality and unity
Perspective always seems
Unsteady and shifting
Precariously balancing
Forever drifting
Mysteriously dancing
Constantly spinning

Volatile, intangible
I could dissolve at any moment
Novel and uncomfortable
Psychosis or evolution?

How does no one else see this?
Or do they just try to forget it?
When what's known ceases to exist
And you don't even recognize your own reflection

I couldn't blame anyone for hiding
In these times of fear so blinding
I too struggle in a perpetual tug of war
For that indescribable faith I've known so many times before
