Lost in abstraction , thinking through philosophies ,
The realities of life have asked me to kneel ,

The idealistic prisms , the notions of justice ,
That coloured my life are now but peeled ,

The horrors of power and her abuse that once haunted me ,
Have now been desensitised to mere frivolities ,

And so to the exigencies that shout pragmatism ,
I quiver through my skin and bow down to kneel .
